Best Practices Achieved
1. Eliminate Single-Use Water Bottles and Provide Water Refill Stations
Five water bottle refill stations were placed throughout the show for attendees to use. Exhibitors were also encouraged not to give out reusable water bottles instead of disposable ones.
3. Serve Food with Plastic-Free Dinnerware
At this year's show, the VIP area was stocked with biodegradable (bamboo fiber) plates and silverware.

6. Publicize Your Sustainability Efforts
We made a point of highlighting our sustainability efforts in our media materials, press releases, and online content. We also sent out a sustainability themed email to our 80,000 + member email list.
7. Involve Local Organizations
Our show offers discounted rates to exhibitors involved in local non-profits including CCA MD, MD DNR, and MDA.
9. Serve Local Food or Source Seafood Sustainably
This years show featured a dining experience where attendees could go out on a sail boat and taste Chesapeake farmed oysters with an emphasis on sustainable agricultural practices.
11. Ensure Proper Waste Bin Placement and Signage
Recycling and garbage bins were placed throughout the show. The recycle bins featured infographics on what materials can be recycled and featured small opening lids to prevent contamination.
20. Encourage Green Boating Practices
This year's show featured an expanded selection of hybrid and electric boats.
