Best Practices Achieved
1. Eliminate Single-Use Water Bottles and Provide Water Refill Stations
Collapsible drink bottles were given to all sailors, with a clip attached, so they were able to clip this to their boats, and prevent them being lost overboard during capsizing.
All serving items were compostable, Reuseable coffee cups were given out and a discount on coffee if brought with them. Reuseable lunch bags for volunteers were used. A walk through boat wash station reduced water wastage. We did a beach clean prior to event. We used a tag board for sign on/off, to reduce paper.
