All efforts were publicized during our press conference with local media. We also posted our sustainability efforts and the measures we were aiming to achieve on our social media platforms and our website.

All dinnerware was made of biodegradable material.

No straws were used at all.
13. Use Paperless Event Management
All participants had the opportunity to register online.
Additionally, we were able to recruit volunteers to survey visitors and competitors about their experience. The surveys were all conducted using a QR code.
11. Ensure Proper Waste Bin Placement and Signage
All of our bottles are recycled. Green containers for beer bottles as well as larger recycling blue bins were placed centrally underneath hand painted reusable signs. The regular garbage bin was placed next to recycling station.

Local business sponsor provided water bottles to all the competitors. Water refill stations were set up throughout the cruising club to reduce single use plastic.

Menu included vegetarian burgers, fish sandwiches, vegetarian samosas (vegan), fish cakes, and salad.
16. Increase Awareness of Wildlife and Habitat Protection
Set up a booth for Corall Barbados to present educational material to spectators on the boardwalk during our main coastal racing event https://corallbarbados.org/
14. Host a Beach or Marina Cleanup
Extensive repairs and cleaning had to be done to the marina in order to accommodate the visiting yachts.
Additionally, we involved two local schools on a beach cleanup that took place on Saturday January 17. Participants included 20 sea scouts from St. Gabriels school and 13 high school students from the Codrington International School.
